・・・ Old News Again ・・・
For the first time in its history, the Vienna Boys’ Choir has sung in its own theater.
The Boys, known for their angelic voices, sang masses by Mozart and Haydn in celebration of the completion of theater.
The Choir of 100 boys between ages of 10 and 14 sings every Sunday in a chapel in Vienna. It has never had a concert hall of its own since it was founded in 1498.
The new hall cost about 20 million dollars. It was built on a lot next to the boy’s dormitory. The new hall seats 400 people and it’s likely to become a favorite tourist attraction in Vienna. More than 120 performances are scheduled this year.

Keepers at the London Zoo have begun their annual stock-taking of animals and insects. The zoo, established more than 180 years ago, has more than 17,000 residents.
Zoo staffers carefully count every single creature, including leaf insects and other camouflaged animals as well as poisonous snakes and spiders.
The workers were seen feeding otters and other fast moving animals as they counted them. Curious meerkats interrupted their work by jumping on the survey form held by one of the keepers. One keeper said counting penguins was easy but not so flocks of birds. The census data is added to an international database for breeding programs for endangered animals. The final tally could take weeks.
